ARTIST MANAGEMNT ASSOCIATE:
We are seeking a person to develop careers for soloists and ensembles through touring in theaters, colleges and community venues. A knowledge of classical music, dance and theater or others arts is desirable. The applicant will be in communication with highly educated presenters in colleges, universities, art museums, symphony orchestras and the like. Therefore the candidate needs a university education and a bachelors degree in some area of the arts.

An excellent telephone personality is necessary as is the ability to write well. Experience and/or training in writing promotional pieces including biographies, brochures and press releases of artists would be highly desirable. The applicant must be organized and detail oriented, be a team player and have negotiating proficiency. In addition to this, the applicant should have a passion for the arts, especially the performing arts.

A knowledge of the field would be helpful, including contacts and even experience representing artists and previous attendance at the Arts Presenters Conference, ISPA and/or regional conferences.

The Regional Representative's responsibilities include developing a thorough understanding of the artists we represent and their work, attaining a practical knowledge of touring requirements and the skill to match performers to presenters. Also needed are highly refined communicating techniques. Our work is done in a variety of ways: meeting presenters in person, on the telephone and through follow-up letters. The position offers a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) plus bonuses and benefits.
