Rile Artists Management RE:
Ahn Sisters, "50 Most Beautiful People," |
People Magazine included the Ahn Trio in their list of winners in one of the most read issues, "50 Most Beautiful People." The Ahn sisters are in the company of such luminaries in the arts and entertainment world as Academy Award winners Halle Berry and Julia Roberts as well as movie idols George Clooney and Ben Affleck. The selection is based not only on beauty but also on career achievement and, who is "hot." |

| What
makes the Ahn inclusion so unique is that they are classical musicians with impeccable credentials and a career and purpose that is having a stunning impact on the concert and chamber music world. The Ahn Trio is a classical music ensemble composed of three sisters, cellist Maria, and her twin sister, pianist Lucia, plus the youngest sister, violinist Angella. This is one of many citations awarded to these remarkably gifted and very hip young musicians. Their first recording on EMI Classics won the "Echo" Award which is the German version of our Grammy. Graduates of The Juilliard School in New York, they were born in Korea and traveled to the U.S. at the ages of nine and seven to study at Juilliard. They have been featured in Time, Vogue, Town and Country on MTV and in the GAP ads last spring. The Ahns are attracting young audiences to their concerts that feature works composed for them by living composers such as Michael Nyman, Kenji Bunch, Maurice Jarre, Ronn |

| Yedidia and even an
adaptation by Michal Rataj of "Riders on the Storm" by the Doors. All of these
composers are included in their latest CD on EMI Classics, titled Groovebox
inspired by Kenji Bunchs "Swing Shift" which reflects the many moods and
sides of life in New York from dusk until dawn.
"Groovebox"
is about contradictions and fusions. Here in the 21st century, explorations of electronic
music are delving ever deeper into the genre of classical music. Still, we strive to hold "In Groovebox, contemporary composers achieve new and modern sounds with beautiful melodies and
traditional instrumentation," according to the Ahns. ### The Ahn sisters are available for media interviews and tv and radio appearances. Contact: Joanne Rile |
